Each Bot keeps its own memory of your preferences, facts and summaries of its work, and personal Bots have no memory screen or export. Dray gives every Bot you run the same memory as ChatGPT, Claude and your other assistants: a Bot can search what you saved from them and save notes back that they can read.
Needs the Grok Bot app. Saving its chats also needs the Dray CLI on the same computer.

How Grok Bot remembers on its own
A Bot keeps “stable preferences, important facts, and summaries from its work”: rules you ask it to keep, facts about you and a dated log of its work. xAI docs: Bots and memory
A Bot decides for itself what to keep, and doesn’t ask first. To be sure something is kept, ask it to remember it. xAI docs: Bots and memory
Each Bot has its own memory, though some facts about you are shared across all your Bots. In a group chat, each Bot’s memory stays separate. xAI docs: Bots and memory
Personal Bots have no memory screen. You ask a Bot what it knows about you, and tell it what to correct or remove. xAI docs: Bots and memory
Resetting a conversation keeps the Bot’s memory. Deleting the Bot deletes it. xAI docs: Bots and memory
Bots run on a persistent cloud computer, so they keep working while your laptop is closed. xAI docs: Grok Bot
Grok Bot signs in with your Cursor account. With a Grok Business seat you choose Sign in with Grok, and a SuperGrok or X Premium+ subscription can be linked. xAI docs: Grok Bot get started
What Dray adds
If you sign in to Grok Bot with Grok and Dray is already connected to Grok, your Bots have it too: Connect apps lists Dray with Source Grok. Dray: connect
Otherwise a Bot can add Dray by its address. Grok Bot then opens Dray’s sign-in page, which asks on behalf of Cursor, because Grok Bot connects through Cursor’s connector. xAI docs: Grok Bot appsDray: connect
Connected apps work in every Bot you run, so each Bot can search what you saved from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok and your coding agents. xAI docs: Grok Bot appsDray: connect
A Bot can save a note to a Dray project, and every assistant that opens the project can read it. Dray: connect
With the Dray CLI on the same computer, Dray also saves the chats of Bots you open in the Grok Bot desktop app: your messages and the Bot’s replies, with the names of files you attach but not the files. Dray: connectDray privacy policy
Dray reads your chats with your Bots, not their own memories. Dray privacy policy
Set it up
If Connect apps in Grok Bot already lists Dray, there is nothing to do. Otherwise, open a chat with any Bot and send it this: Dray: connect
Message to a Bot
Add the MCP server https://mcp.withdray.com/mcp
Choose Connect on the card the Bot shows, then Continue.
On Dray’s sign-in page, choose Connect. The page names Cursor; that’s expected.
Back in Grok Bot, the card says Connected, and every Bot you run can use Dray.
Check that it works
Paste this into a new Grok Bot chat. Dray can take about 15 minutes to learn from a new message. Dray help
Prompt
Use Dray to tell me what you remember about my current projects. If no memory is available, say so.
Limits
Dray saves a Bot’s chats once you open that Bot in the Grok Bot desktop app on a computer with the Dray CLI. A Bot that works while the app is closed is saved the next time you open it there. Dray: connect
The CLI checks Grok Bot when another agent saves a session through Dray or when you run dray sync. Without a coding agent, run dray sync to save new chats. Dray: connect
A Grok Bot update can clear the app’s local copy of your chats. Dray keeps what it already saved, and the rest comes back as you open each Bot again. Dray: connect
Deleting a chat or a Bot in Grok Bot doesn’t delete it from Dray. Delete it from your Dray dashboard instead. Dray: connect
Uninstalling Dray in Grok Bot doesn’t disconnect it on Dray’s side. Revoke it under Connections in your Dray account. Dray: connect
In our test on 3 November 2026, a Bot saved a note to Dray without asking first. Dray: connect
On a team, Grok Bot follows the team’s connector policy, so an admin may need to allow Dray. xAI docs: Grok Bot for teams
Reading may miss or misread chats, and memory extraction can be wrong.
Dray learns from 1,000, 5,000 or 20,000 of your messages a month, depending on your plan. Going over deletes nothing; new messages wait until the month resets or you move up. Dray: usage
