Get a useful second opinion from another AI
Give the second assistant the question, constraints, and evidence before showing it the first answer. Ask it to identify what would change the decision. Compare the reasoning and sources, not just whether the answers agree.
Decide what you want challenged
A second opinion is more useful when it has a target. Ask about an assumption in a launch plan, an edge case in a design, or a missing condition in an argument. “Is this good?” usually produces a broad reaction that is hard to act on.
Where practical, let the second assistant form its view from the source material first. Then share the first answer and ask it to explain the disagreement. This gives you a clearer comparison than asking it to endorse a polished conclusion.
Resolve disagreements with evidence
Two assistants can disagree because one missed a constraint, one used an older source, or both are guessing. Put their claims next to the evidence each used. Check the claim that would change your next action.
You may still need a person with relevant expertise or a real-world test. For legal, medical, financial, or safety decisions, a second model response is not a substitute for qualified advice. Keep the uncertainty visible when the available sources do not settle it.
