Antigravity memory

Antigravity’s docs describe rules and skills you write, such as AGENTS.md or GEMINI.md, but no memory it builds for itself. Dray saves each turn from Antigravity’s CLI (agy), desktop app and IDE to your Dray account, where every agent you connect can search it.

Get started

Needs macOS or Linux with Node.js 18 or later.

How Antigravity remembers on its own

  • Google describes rules as “persistent instructions, coding standards, and architectural constraints”. Antigravity docs: rules
  • Global rules apply to every project on your computer: ~/.gemini/AGENTS.md, ~/.gemini/GEMINI.md, or the same names in ~/.gemini/config/. Modular rules go in ~/.gemini/config/rules/ as Markdown files with YAML frontmatter. Antigravity docs: rules
  • Workspace rules go in an AGENTS.md or GEMINI.md in a folder, or in .agents/rules/. Each rule is always on, manual, left to the model to decide, or matched to files by a pattern. Antigravity docs: rules
  • A single rule file over 24,000 bytes is cut off, and all active global and always-on rules share a 20,000-token budget. Past it, the largest files become pointers. Antigravity docs: rules
  • Workflows stop working on 19 October 2026. /migrate-workflows turns them into Agent skills, kept in .agents/skills/<name>/ or ~/.gemini/config/skills/<name>/. Antigravity docs: workflows to skills
  • Antigravity’s documentation has no page on a memory or knowledge base it builds for itself. Antigravity docs index

Where your history lives

  • “Antigravity CLI scopes conversation histories directly to your current working directory.” Antigravity docs: conversations
  • agy -c resumes the most recent conversation for the folder you are in, and agy --conversation <id> loads a specific one. /resume opens a picker, newest first, that you can search by title, preview or ID, and /fork branches a conversation. Antigravity docs: /resume Antigravity docs: conversations
  • The local file Google documents is ~/.gemini/antigravity-cli/cache/last_conversations.json, which maps each workspace to its last conversation. Antigravity docs: /resume

What Dray adds

  • Setup installs a Dray plugin in ~/.gemini/config/plugins/dray. When an Antigravity turn ends, in agy, the desktop app or the IDE, it saves what you typed and the answer the turn ended on to your Dray account. Dray: connect
  • Setup also adds Dray’s memory tools to Antigravity’s own ~/.gemini/config/mcp_config.json. Antigravity can’t sign in to Dray’s server directly yet, so the tools connect through a small bridge that the Dray CLI runs. Dray: connect
  • Once Antigravity has run on your computer, setup lets it use Dray’s read-only tools without asking each time; saving to memory still asks. dray mcp off removes those rules and the connection.
  • The import brings in the last 30 days of Antigravity history and skips subagent conversations.
  • Anything in the text that looks like a key or password is removed on your computer before it is sent. Dray: connect
  • agy can then search what you saved from your other agents and web chats, and they can search what it saved.
  • Setup adds Dray’s commands to ~/.gemini/config/skills: /link links this chat with your other chats, /link CODE joins a link another chat made, /unlink leaves it, and /dray-status checks what Dray has saved. Dray: connect

Set it up

Watch Antigravity setup0:45 · YouTube

One command sets up Antigravity and the other agents it finds on your computer. It needs Node.js 18 or later on macOS or Linux, and no Chrome extension.

Terminal
curl -fsSL https://api.withdray.com/cli/install.sh | sh
  1. Your browser opens Dray. Use the same Dray account as your web chats and choose Connect coding agents. This approves the computer.
  2. Setup lists the agents it found, all ticked. Untick any you want to leave out with the arrow keys and space, then press Enter.
  3. Restart agy, then type /mcp: Dray is listed as dray, with its tools.

To set up Antigravity on its own, or add it later:

Terminal
dray setup --agents antigravity

There are no steps by hand: Antigravity can’t sign in to Dray’s server directly yet, so the CLI connects it. Dray: connect

Limits

  • No images come from Antigravity. Dray: connect
  • A prompt is saved when its turn ends. Antigravity’s hooks have no event for a prompt as you send it. Antigravity docs: hooks
  • Runs with agy -p are saved like any other session. To keep one out, start agy with DRAY_CAPTURE=0.
  • The first time, agy may ask to read Dray’s tool files, which it keeps outside your workspace.
  • Not saved: tool calls, command output, file contents, the agent’s reasoning, subagent threads, and the narration before a turn’s last tool call. Dray: connect
  • This computer’s sign-in lasts about 90 days. After that, new sessions wait on your computer until you sign in again. Dray: connect
  • Uploading and learning are separate steps, so a new session may take a while to show up in a search. Saved sessions count toward your plan’s monthly allowance like any other messages. Dray: connect
